The Holy Trinity community is pleased to welcome Pastor Steve Greene.
With a last name fit for Lucan, Pastor Steve joins us from Cambridge, Ontario, where he served both St. Thomas the Apostle and St. Luke’s. Graduating with a Master of Divinity in 2016, he served in Exeter, Grand Bend and Port Franks and has deep appreciation for small and rural towns.
Pastor Steve has an unparalleled enthusiasm and excitement that our worshiping community is so pleased to have. His exuberance is contagious and uplifting.
Continuing to fulfill Holy Trinity’s mission of outreach, Pastor Steve will support the ongoing projects of the church (collecting donations of back-to-school supplies, clothing, toys and gifts for those who need it and providing nourishment to local schools, among other great initiatives) and start up some new plans.
A big fan of sleeping in (but not on Sundays), Steve loves to read and exercise and bee bop to hip hop.
Admittedly he doesn’t get much time for extra sleep as he, and partner Tracy raise their large family. For Steve and Tracy family is a ministry and their adopted and fostered children are a beautiful reminder of how families are built on love, not blood.
Pastor Steve’s passions are Jesus and sports, and he notes how these two loves have strange common threads, including raising each other up, listening, and supporting one another.
His theology is one of belonging. “If we’re to be Christ-followers, we’re called to be in community with God, with our siblings in Christ, with the world and to live out the values of a faithful and fruitful community. Believing and belonging are hand and glove to me.”
Noting that sometimes humankind focuses on toxic andexploitative division - belonging and community are more important than ever. “God wants everyone to be a part of his family. Gender, race, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, none of it matters. He sees everyone as a child of God… and all are welcome.”
Please join Pastor Steve and the Holy Trinity community every Sunday at 10:30am online at Facebook (Holy Trinity Church Lucan) or in-person, to learn about belief and belonging.
